Firefighter Henry William Rayner Jr., Died In The Line of Duty October 22, 1984, while battling a fire at Shillers Furniture on Holabird Ave., in Dundalk. Two other Firefighters, James Kimbel and Walter Bawroski, parrished with him. Henry Raynor was a member of Middleborough VFC and was assigned to Station 6. |

On January 4th 1987, Amtrak's Colonial Passenger Train Crashed into three Conrail Diesel Locomotives in Chase Maryland at an impact speed of 128 miles per hour leaving 16 people dead and 184 injured. This was the first time that the Baltimore County Fire Department was able to put the Incident Command System into effect on an actual large scale incident. |
